Progress on your journey to success! ECLARO is currently recruiting for an Inpatient Coder in the Chicago, IL area for one of our clients.

• HIM Inpatient Coder - Strong academic, trauma and/or research university coding experience.

Pay Rate: $44.70/Hour

• Assign ICD-10-CM-PCS and/or CPT-4 diagnostic and procedure codes to patient charts with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Abstract selected data items and enter them in 3M encoder/Epic software with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Complete UHDDS data abstraction as required.
• Maintain a log of work performed.
• Complete other assigned duties as directed by management.

• Knowledge: RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS Certification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in inpatient medical record coding
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology
• Proficiency with Windows applications, Outlook, Webex and other apps as needed to perform the role
• Ability to concentrate on task in an open distracting environment in an independent manner; minimizing distractions in a private work-from-home space
• Ability to apply local, state, and federal coding guidelines with attention to detail

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)

Job Duration: 26 weeks (with possibility of contract-to-hire)
