Schedule Details/Additional Information This is a hybrid position local to Chicago IL with up to 80% onsite work to support study activities. Position requires float/travel among sites in the Greater Chicago area, mostly in the vicinity of Advocate Christ and Advocate Trinity Medical Centers. 40 hours/week; typically normal business hours with some flexibility, including occasional evening and night hours given the needs of the study.
Minimum Qualifications include 2 years experience engaging with study participants in-person and over phone/video for recruitment, screening, enrollment, and data collection; 2 years experience delivering health-related interventions; competency in electronic data capture systems (REDCap preferred); electronic medical record systems (EPIC preferred); and Microsoft Office software.
Pay Range $24.85 - $37.30
Major Responsibilities- Serves as the primary research associate on studies across multiple sites and manages timelines and deliverables.
- Supports and performs data collection, data management, and data cleaning in collaboration with scientists and investigators.
- Interacts with research subjects in-person, over the phone, or online, and coordinates and conducts recruitment, screening, enrollment, and data collection.
- Conducts literature searches and results reporting in collaboration with research scientists and investigators.
- Ensures appropriate completion and documentation of regulatory materials, source documentation, data collection, and study records in a timely manner.
- Ensures study team is conducting research activities in an ethical and safe manner according to applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Serves as a resource to other research team members, investigators and collaborators, related to specific projects, research procedures and policies; assists with implementation of educational training plans.
- Supports investigators in preparing abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and presentations.
- Interfaces with the Institutional Review Board and other AARI and AAH offices/departments to facilitate support and reporting of ongoing research.
- Coordinates project meetings between scientists, teams and collaborators to ensure project success.

- Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or related field.
- Typically requires 2 years of experience in health-related and/or research (Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Data Science, Public Health).
- Ability to understand and communicate research protocol requirements to others.
- Some experience writing standard operating procedures (SOP), experimental protocols, scientific results, or similar.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Some experience developing and maintaining a variety of databases and spreadsheets, generating reports and dashboards.
- Ability to problem solve and work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related software.
- Must be able to establish a good rapport with patients, investigators, clinical team, and external collaborators.
- Competency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Experience in Epic is a plus.
- Will generally be exposed to a rapid-pace and complex health care environment.
- Remote work with in-person presence (e.g., site visits, recruitment activities, meetings) as needed.
- This position may require ability to drive and/or travel to work related meetings/functions and thus is exposed to road, weather, and normal travel hazards.
