We're seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) who is compassionate, organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about improving patient outcomes. This unique hybrid role blends traditional clinical Medical Assistant responsibilities with remote patient monitoring, patient outreach, triage support, and care coordination.

Work ScheduleThis is primarily an onsite position
. Team members are generally expected to work in the clinic four days per week
, with the opportunity to work remotely one day per week

Remote work eligibility is based on provider schedules, clinic volume, staffing coverage, employee performance, and operational needs. Employees may be required to work onsite on scheduled remote days when clinic coverage is needed.
What You'll Do In-Clinic Responsibilities- Obtain and document vital signs, medication information, medical history, and other clinical data.
- Identify and communicate prior authorization needs for follow-up.
- Educate patients about MayaMD services, including RPM and PCM programs.
- Assist eligible patients with enrollment in care management programs.
- Maintain inventory of patient monitoring devices and coordinate device ordering as needed.
- Follow clinic workflows, policies, and provider instructions.
- Conduct patient outreach and perform initial triage by assessing symptoms, patient needs, and urgency of care.
- Monitor patient health data, trends, alerts, and device readings through MayaMD's RPM platform.
- Contact patients regarding abnormal readings, missed readings, medication concerns, symptoms, appointments, and other care needs.
- Escalate urgent findings to providers and supervisors according to established protocols.
- Communicate with patients through phone and approved messaging systems.
- Reinforce provider-approved education and care instructions.
- Collaborate with providers to support and update care plans based on patient needs and monitoring outcomes.
- Complete required monthly patient contacts and documentation within established timelines.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records.
- Adhere to all HIPAA, privacy, security, and patient consent requirements.
- Meet productivity, responsiveness, attendance, and follow-up expectations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support clinic operations.
- Current Medical Assistant certification from an accredited or recognized program.
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain medical information and care instructions clearly and compassionately.
- Comfort using electronic medical records (EMRs), patient monitoring systems, telephone platforms, and healthcare technology. Experience with Epic is preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to independently manage patient follow-up activities while collaborating effectively with providers and team members.
