Psychologist

• Conduct psychological reviews and assessments for Georgia’s NOW and COMP Medicaid waiver programs
• Complete initial and level-of-care psychological reviews of developmental, psychological, adaptive, behavioral, and medical records
• Travel throughout an approximately 35-county service area to conduct in-person and, when appropriate, virtual psychological assessments
• Administer and interpret psychological assessment instruments
• Assess and document psychological and adaptive functioning
• Prepare clear, comprehensive evaluation and consultation reports
• Complete written evaluation reports from a home office
• Provide clinical findings and recommendations based on assessment results
• Complete evaluations and documentation according to DBHDD and Medicaid requirements
• Collaborate with DBHDD staff and other professionals
• Maintain professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards
• Attend fair hearings when required

• Current, unrestricted license as a Psychologist in the State of Georgia and eligibility to practice independently
• Professional experience providing psychological assessment and evaluation services
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD)
• Experience administering and interpreting standardized measures of intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior
• Ability to integrate psychological testing, developmental history, adaptive functioning, behavioral/clinical information, and records to formulate professional opinions
• Ability to prepare clear, comprehensive psychological reports and consultation documentation
• Ability to independently manage assigned referrals and complete evaluations and documentation within established timelines
• Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned service area and provide in-person and virtual assessment services
• Employment subject to applicable State of Georgia and DBHDD requirements, including required background checks
• Preferred:
  Experience assessing I/DD across the lifespan
• Preferred:
  Experience with developmental disability, autism, intellectual disability, and/or adaptive behavior assessment
• Preferred:
  Experience evaluating complex developmental, behavioral, psychiatric, or medical presentations
• Preferred:
  Experience with Medicaid waiver programs, eligibility determination, level-of-care assessment, or disability-related service systems
• Preferred:
  Experience providing psychological consultation related to developmental disability and service eligibility

Demonstrates expertise in conducting psychological assessments and evaluations, particularly for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, while adhering to DBHDD and Medicaid requirements. Proficient in preparing comprehensive reports and providing clinical recommendations based on assessment results.
