Psychologist – NOW/COMP Waiver Evaluations Part-Time | $92.00 Per Hour | Approximately 25-30 Hours Per Week Use Your Expertise. Enjoy Professional Flexibility. Make a Difference for Georgians with I/DD.The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking a licensed Psychologist to conduct psychological reviews and assessments associated with Georgia's New Options Waiver (NOW) and Comprehensive Supports Waiver (COMP) programs.

This is a unique opportunity for a psychologist who enjoys assessment work and wants the flexibility of a part-time professional position. The role combines field-based assessments with the ability to complete reports from a home office.

The position pays $92.00 per hour for approximately 25-30 hours per week . Travel time and authorized travel expenses are paid by the State of Georgia, and DBHDD provides the equipment needed to perform the job, including a laptop, printer, and cell phone.

The Opportunity The Psychologist will support DBHDD’s pre-eligibility and level-of-care review processes for the NOW and COMP Medicaid waiver programs by applying psychological expertise to the review of developmental, psychological, adaptive, behavioral, and medical information. The Psychologist will serve Georgians with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing timely, clinically sound psychological reviews and assessments that support DBHDD’s NOW/COMP waiver eligibility process.

The Psychologist will complete initial and level of care psychological reviews of developmental records, psychological assessment, and medical records to provide clinical psychological review of applications for the Georgia's New Options Waiver (NOW) and Comprehensive Supports Waiver (COMP) programs. The Psychologist may travel to various locations within an approximately 35-county service area to conduct in-person and, when clinically appropriate and operationally feasible, virtual psychological assessments.

The Psychologist will complete written consultation and/or assessment reports for initial and level of care evaluations from their home office.

The position provides an opportunity to use your clinical and assessment expertise while helping individuals with I/DD access appropriate services and supports through Georgia's Medicaid waiver programs.
