Recruiter / Talent Acquisition
This role requires 75% travel during peak season.
The Campus Recruiting Specialist is responsible for executing our veterinary student-focused talent acquisition initiatives. This includes supporting our existing student programming (externship placement & student sourcing), as well as all future recruiting strategies.
In addition, the Campus Recruiting Specialist will assist in providing best-in-class candidate experience through talent pipeline development, participation in veterinary school career fairs & recruiting events, and collaboration with internal and external business partners to support recruitment efforts and hiring goals
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with veterinary schools, student organizations, and hospital leaders to support student engagement, externship opportunities, and recruitment initiatives
- Serve as the primary point of contact for veterinary students, providing guidance and support throughout the recruitment and externship process
- Plan, coordinate, and represent Blue River Pet Care at career fairs, networking events, information sessions, workshops, and other campus recruiting activities
- Build and manage pipelines of prospective candidates through sourcing, networking, relationship management, and ongoing engagement efforts
- Monitors market and industry trends to ensure proactive recruitment efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of student engagement, externship participation, candidate activity and communication history
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Skills and
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in campus or university corporate recruiting
- Exemplary communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to travel up to 75% in peak season, based on company-need
- Ability to rent a car
Technical
Skills:
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Salesforce experience a plus
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time
- Frequent keyboarding and communicating via call and text
- May occasionally move equipment and supplies up to 30 pounds
Work Location:
- Preferred location: IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, MO, OH, WI
- This is a remote position with travel requirements as needed
Salary Range: $60, per year
