Senior Business Analyst – eCommerce
Location: Remote (contract, converted to permanent in Northfield/Northbrook, IL) – 6‑Month Contract to Hire –
Start: ASAP
Base pay range: $50.00/hr – $70.00/hr
Requirements- At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst within an information systems or information technology organization.
- Experience organizing and leading effective requirements elicitation workshops.
- Experience producing detailed systems specifications.
- Experience with detailed functional testing
. - Experience with Web Commerce or operating on the eCommerce platform (training will be provided for the right candidate).
- Exposure to SAP, other ERP, ETL,
Commercetools
, Magento, Bloomreach Search. - 4‑year degree (or higher) in CS, IS, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Self‑starter with ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Highly motivated and dependable with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in the OTC health care space.
- Requirement Analysis & Documentation: Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for eCommerce solutions; translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications; coordinate and prioritize deliverables with Product Owners/Stakeholders; elicit and document NFRs related to observability, monitoring, SRE, etc., using App Insights.
- Technical Understanding &
Collaboration:
Work closely with architects and developers to understand technical designs, APIs, integrations, and system workflows; bridge the gap between business and technical teams; participate in sprint planning and estimation; work with development teams to break down work into manageable tasks. - Proxy Product Owner (PO) Responsibilities: Act as a Proxy PO, ensuring development teams have clear priorities and well‑defined requirements; own the product backlog; refine user stories; collaborate with stakeholders; drive backlog grooming, sprint planning, and ensure smooth delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Collaborate with product managers, designers, developers, QA, and business stakeholders; communicate requirements, timelines, and priorities; collaborate with Enterprise Dev Ops and Cloud Teams; adhere to IT Department policies; work within an iterative SDLC.
- Quality Assurance & UAT Support: Support testing efforts by validating feature implementations; assist in UAT and ensure smooth deployment.
- Operational Responsibilities: Respond to inquiries about system functionality; troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues; perform system configurations; provide training and documentation.
