Chicago, IL – hybrid WFH, 2 days work from home, 3 days onsite

Summary
We are seeking a Manager of Financial Systems, who has technical experience with Workday Financials, and experience overseeing the implementation, optimization and support of our enterprise Workday Financials environment. This person must have a background in Application/Software Engineering, as we we have a culture of player/coaches, where managers remain hands on, while managing the team of Application Engineers. You will also work closely with the business stakeholders to ensure Workday implementations and enhancements are completed in accordance with stakeholder expectations to optimize business value with the Workday Financials engineering efforts.

What you'll be doing – most of which is related to Workday Financials

• Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of applications across multiple platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Lead the design and implementation of system integrations to ensure seamless functionality across internal and external applications and platforms.
• Develop and enforce application maintenance processes and policies to ensure smooth daily operations, addressing system issues, bugs, and performance problems proactively.
• Ensure that applications meet regulatory compliance requirements and risk management standards, particularly in data security and privacy.
• Mentor and manage a team of application specialists, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance.
• Work in close collaboration with product management to ensure software is developed that anticipates future needs and maintains option value

Skills we're seeking

• 10+ years of experience with Financial Systems Engineering, Application Engineering and/or Software Engineering
• Must have 3+ years of experience with Workday Financials Engineering with workday development technologies – EIBs, Cloud Connections, Rest APIs, Studio integrations and Reports
• Must have 2+ years of experience as a Manager, Principal or Lead Engineer
• Must have experience driving systems integration with Workday and other business systems
• Must have experience leading engineering teams in Agile environments

Nice to haves

• Technical Workday Certifications
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, or an IT related field
