Job Title: Palo Alto Networks Strata SME - REMOTE WORK

Contract: 12+ month

Contract position for 12+ month. On assignment with Palo Alto Networks. End client wants to ensure that an Extended Expertise Consultant (EEC) will align closely with the internal team. The candidate should be able to take the lead within the environment. The team is brand new with PANW. FW deployment is only 1 year old. Must have SME level experience with Strata.

Main focus/SOQ: migrating slowly from Juniper to PANW. 130 locations need migrated to PANW infrastructure. Growing feature set (current threat prevention): FW, URL Filtering, DNS Security, possibly replacing SD-WAN to PANW; all in scope. PA 5450 & PA 3440. Very strict security policy. Immediate need: setting up lab and getting firewalls deployed.

• Lead within the PANW environment and align with the client internal team.
• Migrate from Juniper to Palo Alto Networks, covering approximately 130 locations.
• Support expanding features such as threat prevention, URL filtering, DNS security, and potentially replacing SD-WAN with PANW.
• Work with hardware models PA-5450 and PA-3440.
• Maintain a very strict security policy and ensure proper lab setup and firewall deployment.

• SME level experience with Palo Alto Networks Strata.
• Experience migrating networks from Juniper to PANW.
• Experience across multiple locations (approx. 130 sites).
• Ability to work in a remote, contract role for 12+ months.
