** Position Summary
** We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support a hybrid IT environment spanning VMware ESXi on-prem infrastructure, Omnissa Horizon VDI, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 solutions. This role plays a key part in maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable systems while supporting cloud adoption and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise across virtualization, Microsoft cloud services, identity, and end-user computing, and enjoys working hands-on while collaborating with security, and application teams in a small to medium size organization.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Infrastructure & Virtualization
* Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize VMware ESXi / vSphere environments (clusters, HA, DRS, storage, networking).
* Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Hyper-V environments (HA, storage, networking).
* Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize Omnissa Horizon VDI environments (storage, networking).
* Manage on-prem compute, storage, and backup solutions, including capacity planning and performance tuning.
* Lead or support migrations from on-prem VMware to cloud or hybrid architectures.
* Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for critical systems.
** Cloud & Azure
*** Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Azure
* Administer Azure subscriptions, networking (VNets, VPNs, Express Route), compute, storage, and monitoring.
* Manage hybrid identity solutions using Entra  (Azure AD) and Entra/Cloud Connect
* Support cost optimization and security best practices.
** Microsoft 365& Identify
*** Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, One Drive, Intune and Teams.
* Manage user identity and authentication across on-prem and cloud environments.
** Windows Server & Operating Systems
*** Windows Server & Operating Systems
* Administer and support Windows Server 2016 through the latest supported versions.
* Perform regular patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation for Windows Server environments, Virtual and physical desktop environments as well as MacOS.
* Support backend services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.
** Operations & Security
*** Monitor system health, performance, and availability across on-prem and cloud platforms.
* Ensures that all customer incidents are properly logged into the incident reporting system and are resolved within service level agreements and meets the customer’s expectations for that particular service.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and cloud-related issues.
* Apply security hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
** Projects & Collaboration
*** Participate in infrastructure and cloud transformation projects.
* Work closely with security, networking, and application teams.
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers when needed.
** Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
*** Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in information Technology in Lieu of degree
* Solid experience with Microsoft Azure administration and hybrid cloud deployments.
* Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
* Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
* Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring solutions.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Provide operational tier 3 support as well as work direct with internal customers Strong communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving hybrid cloud environment.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Microsoft certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, M365).
* VMware certifications (VCP or higher).
* Experience with automation and scripting
* Experience with security frameworks and zero trust concepts.
* Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V (Design, implementation and administration).
* Experience with Microsoft Desktop Cloud Desktop solutions
* Exposure to networking technologies (firewalls, switches, routers and VPNs).
