Job Description:

This is a technical position within a growing market-leading organization. This individual will focus on the development and configuration of the Lab Vantage LIMS (v8 or higher), while working collaboratively with all business units. The Lab Vantage Software Engineer performs application development, having experience in Java-driven Web Applications. This individual will focus on optimizing the Lab Vantage system and increase the functionality and efficiency by completing custom development, including design, build, and testing of the Lab Vantage.

This requires expertise in Java-driven web applications to include Java and JavaScript as well as SQL (Oracle or SQL Server) and to include other languages like HTML, DHTML, and Web Page Development.
Candidate is required to be paid on a W2 hourly basis. A history working with Lab Vantage LIMS is a requirement, and applicants lack this expertise, our client will not consider unfortunately. Thank you for your understanding.

Requirements:

• Must be authorized to be paid as W2 employee.
• 3+ years of Lab Vantage development, throughout the entire SDLC (planning, analysis, design, build, test, and maintenance)
• Experience with development languages which include J2EE framework, Java and Java Script
• Experience working within an Oracle or SQL Server relational database
• Other preferred technical language development experience includes: HTML, DHTML/Web page development, Webservices, Ajax, Groovy and J-Query
• Ability to travel up to 10% within a primarily remote position.
• Ability to work east coast or central time zones.

Responsibilities:

• Performing application development for Lab Vantage LIMS client projects within the Life Science industries
• Creating Java-driven web applications utilizing J2EE framework, Java, and Java Script
• Working extensively within relational databases which include writing and comprehending SQL (Oracle or SQL Server)
• Working within other technical daily languages which include: HTML, DHTML or Web Page Development
• Collaborating with offshore teams and performing presentations as required
• Assisting with instrument interfacing and other integrations with ERP, Lab Systems, MES, etc.
