The Solution Architect – EDI serves as the lead subject matter expert for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and B2B integration within a manufacturing environment utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365 F&O). This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable integration solutions that enable secure and efficient data exchange between the organization and its trading partners. It acts as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams—translating business requirements into effective system solutions that drive operational efficiency and measurable business outcomes.

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for EDI and other B2B integration technologies.
• Partner cross functionally with stakeholders to:
  • Review and document current state processes
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities
  • Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Design and validate EDI solutions and offer guidance on best practices, security standards and architectural principles.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, including solution reviews and design oversight.
• Support the creation and maintenance of process and system documentation to enable effective knowledge transfer, system stability, smooth hyper care, and operational transitions.
• Mentor, coach and train team members within the EDI and B2B integration domain.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, protocols, and standards and recommend improvements in services and products.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes, and integration capabilities.
• Collaborate across functional areas including Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment of solutions with business.
• Perform other duties assigned that support the overall success of the team, department, or organization.
• Regular, predictable, in-person attendance on the business days the Company requires in-person attendance at this facility. • Technical expertise (7+ years of experience in these areas) including:
  • Deep experience with EDI platforms and integration solutions such as Boomi, Open Text, SPS Commerce.
  • Strong understanding of EDI standards, particularly ANSI X12.
  • Experience with EDI communication protocols, including AS2, FTP, SFTP, HTTPS, and VAN.
  • Hands‑on experience with EDI transaction sets such as 850, 855, 856, 810, 940, 943, 944, 945, 947.
  • Proficiency in EDI mapping and business process modeling, interface design (inbound/outbound integrations).
