Overview of Job Function
The Solutions Design Engineer (SE) is a key member of the Sales Team responsible for supporting technical pre‑sales activities across Verint’s Fraud & Security Solutions portfolio. This role works with customers, partners, and the sales team to understand requirements and assist in designing and positioning solutions that address fraud prevention, physical security, and operational intelligence needs within financial services and enterprise environments.
The SE applies EdgeVMS, security technologies, and enterprise architectures, along with a foundational understanding of data analytics and related technologies, to contribute to solution design and help deliver positive customer outcomes through compelling demos and persuasive presentations.
- Participate in technical discovery discussions to understand customer requirements, environments, and objectives.
- Gather and document business and technical requirements to support solution design.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Assist in designing solutions across video management (EdgeVMS), security systems, and analytics capabilities.
- Deliver standard and tailored product demonstrations (remote and onsite) with guidance from senior team members.
- Support development of proposals, quotes, and technical documentation.
- Help ensure solution accuracy and alignment with customer requirements throughout the sales process.
- Lead technical execution of proof of concept (POC) and pilot engagements.
- Assist in validating solution performance against defined requirements.
- Contribute to documenting results and supporting customer evaluations.
- Work closely with Sales, Product Management, R&D, and Customer Success teams to support opportunities.
- Provide feedback on customer requirements and product capabilities.
- Assist with transitioning opportunities from pre‑sales to post‑sales teams.
- Participate in internal and partner training on Verint solutions and technologies.
- Contribute to demo environments and technical assets as assigned.
- Actively build product knowledge and technical expertise.
- Stay current on industry trends including fraud prevention, physical security, cloud, and analytics.
- Develop familiarity with evolving features and capabilities within the Verint platform.
- Identify opportunities to improve personal effectiveness, tools, and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience in presales engineering, technical support, systems engineering, or related technical role.
- Foundational experience with video management systems, surveillance technologies, or security solutions.
- Experience working with customers or internal stakeholders in a technical capacity.
- Ability to understand customer requirements, and assist in designing, delivering and articulating practical technical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
- Basic understanding of networking, systems architecture, and enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with data-driven or analytics-enabled solutions at a conceptual or working level.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a remote work environment.
- Ability to travel up to 25–40% domestically.
- Northeast Region as preferred location.
- Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.
