Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead - SAP Central Finance (CFIN) (CFIN is a nice to have, not a MUST have) to drive testing strategy, planning, and execution for a large-scale finance transformation initiative. This individual will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end testing activities, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing defects and test execution, and providing leadership throughout the testing lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong test management experience, a proven track record leading complex enterprise testing programs, and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead the overall testing strategy and execution for SAP Central Finance (CFIN) initiatives, including:

+ Functional testing

+ Integration testing

+ Data migration testing

+ Security testing

+ Test scenario and script creation

+ Develop comprehensive test plans, schedules, and governance processes to ensure successful delivery of testing milestones.

+ Oversee test execution activities across multiple work streams and ensure alignment with broader program activities, including data mapping and cutover planning.

+ Facilitate defect triage meetings and drive incident and defect management processes from identification through resolution.

+ Perform root-cause analysis and coordinate with functional and technical teams to resolve finance-related issues.

+ Monitor and enforce service level agreements (SLAs) related to testing and defect resolution.

+ Establish and track testing KPIs and metrics, providing regular status reporting and executive-level updates on testing progress, risks, and issue resolution.

+ Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to ensure testing readiness and successful business outcomes.

+ Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

+ Significant experience leading testing work streams within large-scale ERP, finance transformation, or SAP implementation programs.

+ Strong knowledge of test management methodologies, best practices, and governance frameworks.

+ Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure Dev Ops (MUST HAVE)

+ Proven ability to manage end-to-end testing activities, including planning, execution oversight, defect management, and reporting.

+ Experience creating and managing test scenarios, test scripts, and testing documentation.

+ Excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and leadership skills.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience driving issue resolution across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

+

Experience with SAP Central Finance (CFIN).

+  Background supporting finance transformation, ERP implementations, or SAP finance programs.

+ Experience coordinating testing activities involving data migration, integrations, and cutover readiness.

This role is ideal for a hands-on Test Lead who thrives in complex transformation environments and can successfully coordinate testing activities across multiple teams while ensuring high-quality delivery.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
