Security Cloud Architect

Description

Serve as the lead security architect supporting the organization's migration from on-premises infrastructure to Azure. Provide architectural guidance and security oversight for cloud migration initiatives, landing zone design, and cloud governance. Review proposed infrastructure and application designs, identify security risks, and recommend remediation strategies. Partner closely with Infrastructure teams to evaluate the existing security stack and determine required changes for cloud adoption.

Design and advise on:
Azure Landing Zones Identity and Access Management (IAM) Network segmentation and connectivity Cloud security controls and guardrails Logging, monitoring, and incident response integration Governance and compliance frameworks Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security Engineering, and Sec Ops teams to ensure alignment with security standards and enterprise architecture direction. Provide security guidance for cloud-native development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Git Hub Enterprise deployments.

Participate in design reviews and architecture discussions across multiple technology teams. Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders, translating security requirements into actionable recommendations. Critical Skills (Must-Have) 1. Cloud Security Architecture & Migration Proven experience leading or supporting on-premises to cloud migration initiatives. Deep expertise securing Azure environments in enterprise organizations.

Experience with hybrid-cloud environments, including AWS. 2. Identity & Access Management (IAM) Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra  (Azure AD), role-based access control (RBAC), privileged access management, and identity governance. Experience designing secure authentication and authorization models for cloud environments.
3. Landing Zone Design & Cloud Governance Hands-on experience designing secure Azure Landing Zones. Knowledge of policy management, security baselines, governance frameworks, and cloud operating models.
4. Security Architecture & Cross-Functional Leadership Ability to assess existing security controls and recommend enhancements. Experience conducting architectural reviews and security risk assessments. Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, Security Engineering, and Operations teams.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $110.00/hr.
