About the TeamThe Workday Success Plans Team is focused on our customers and their post Go‑Live journey. We create programs to help them drive business value from their Workday applications, ranging from feature demonstrations to full feature deployments. About the RoleOur role works directly with customers through targeted micro‑consulting engagements to help solve their business needs using the Workday application. As a Workday Financials Expert, you will assist customers with how‑to questions, troubleshoot and guide configuration, and provide feature demonstrations. You will hold expertise in Financial Accounting, Accounting Journals, Allocations, Consolidations, Inter‑company Processing, Period Close, Statistics, Multicurrency, Grants, Award Lifecycle, Award Budgets, Salary over the Cap, and Award Billing.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Conduct research to ensure a deep understanding of customer questions and Workday concepts.
- Deliver small‑scope consulting in response to customer requests; provide configuration guidance, demonstrations, considerations, tips, and tricks.
- Troubleshoot product configuration to resolve or provide optimal configuration to meet customer business requirements.
- Clearly and effectively communicate responses and value to customers.
- Create and deliver customer presentations on how to use Workday features to achieve business goals (Accelerator Webinars).
- Provide one‑on‑one consulting guidance to accelerate customer feature adoption (Feature Accelerator).
- Review customer tenants to identify adoption opportunities (Feature Adoption Tenant Reviews).
- Maintain product expertise and Workday Certification(s) and familiarity with the Workday roadmap.
- Keep up to date with industry practices and engage customers on those topics.
- Help drive the creation of new programs to drive customer feature adoption.

- Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of IT implementation experience.
- 3+ years of experience with software consulting and deployment, including but not limited to People Soft, SAP, Oracle, and/or JD Edwards.
- 1+ years of Workday Consulting experience or experience as a Workday SME in FDM, Record to Report, or Grants.
- Workday Certification, or ability to certify in at least one of the following: FDM, Record to Report, Grants.
- Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
- Travel up to 20%.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to gain a thorough understanding of Workday concepts as new features are released.
- Ability to distill complex concepts into understandable presentations for customers.
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. The annualized base pay range for the primary location (USA – IL – Chicago) is $104,500 to $156,700
USD. Additional US locations range from $94,600 to $167,900
USD. The role may also be eligible for a bonus plan or other compensation as part of the total compensation package.
We combine the best of in‑person and remote work. Employees are expected to spend at least 50% of time each quarter in the office or in the field, while also enjoying flexibility to create a schedule that meets business, team, and personal needs.
