Desktop Support Level II

Overview

System Technician role providing technical assistance to employees, including training materials on computer usage and troubleshooting. Resolve software and hardware problems and guide employees through operating system usage.

The position involves a variety of tasks in the technical support area of our PC and Mac estate. This role supports the Enterprise ICT Organization and collaborates with IT functions and non-ICT teams to provide technical assistance and insight. The System Technician adheres to standards, policies, procedures, and security requirements, proactively improving processes and recommending effective products and applications. It supports PC and Mac hardware, software, and other technical solutions, and adheres to SLAs while communicating with stakeholders.

Travel may be required.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and other IT solutions for PC and Mac
• Install software and manage system status, with steps to improve performance and reliability following established policies
• Provide high levels of ICT availability, performance monitoring, and capacity management in line with ICT best practices and SLAs
• Design, develop, update, and implement team standards, processes, and documentation
• Monitor, correct, and report observed infractions of security policies and procedures
• Assist other technical teams with hands-on support

• Several years of Technical Experience in a 24x7 IT environment
• Excellent knowledge of IT systems
• Ability to develop, interpret, and follow written IT policies and procedures
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft business software applications, Mac and Windows OS
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) in English
• Ability to communicate to all levels of management

Salary information:
The salary range for candidates in applicable US jurisdictions for the Desktop Support Level II position is between $64,000 and $68,000. Final pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
