About Jump FlyJump Fly is an independent digital marketing agency that has helped businesses grow through paid media, SEO, marketplace advertising, email marketing, and digital strategy since 2003. We are expanding our Conversion Rate Optimization and Website Services capabilities and are hiring a Senior Web Optimization Engineer to help build and scale this new service line.
About the RoleThe Senior CRO and Web Optimization Engineer is not a traditional software engineering role. We’re looking for a hands-on web optimization expert with direct experience in CRO, GA4/GTM, Word Press, and ecommerce who can identify conversion opportunities, prioritize solutions, and implement them.
Ideal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a senior, hands-on web optimization expert who can move from analysis to action. You can quickly understand how a website works, identify the most meaningful opportunities, explain your recommendations to clients, and implement improvements safely.
You combine CRO judgment with strong technical execution. You are comfortable across lead-generation and ecommerce experiences, use data to guide priorities, and look for repeatable solutions that improve delivery over time.
Required Qualifications- 5 or more years of relevant web development, analytics implementation, or website optimization experience, or equivalent senior-level capability
- Hands‑on experience implementing and troubleshooting production website changes in Word Press and Shopify or a comparable ecommerce platform
- Strong GA4, Google Tag Manager, data-layer, conversion-tracking, and analytics implementation experience
- Demonstrated ability to conduct technical website audits and turn findings into prioritized recommendations
- Working familiarity with experimentation platforms, behavioral analytics, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, and accessibility standards
- Strong technical judgment, troubleshooting, client communication, and experience safely delivering work across multiple website environments
- Additional experience with experimentation platforms, test design, or statistical analysis
- Additional experience with Shopify Liquid, Adobe Commerce, ecommerce analytics, or complex data-layer implementations
- Experience with New Relic, PHP, APIs, integrations, or visual-regression testing
- Agency or consultancy experience, including helping standardize or productize a web optimization service
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct technical website audits covering architecture, CMS constraints, analytics, conversion paths, performance, accessibility, integrations, and implementation risks
- Implement, audit, and troubleshoot GA4, Google Tag Manager, data-layer events, form tracking, conversion tracking, and ecommerce tracking; establish reliable baseline metrics
- Implement approved CRO and website improvements, including landing pages, forms, navigation, checkout flows, responsive layouts, and reusable components
- Estimate effort, identify dependencies and risks, and recommend maintainable implementation approaches
- Present findings clearly and participate in client discovery, scoping, planning, and troubleshooting when technical or CRO expertise is needed
- Help build a new optimization-focused service within an established, independent digital marketing agency
- Work directly with clients across varied industries, business models, and technical environments
- Collaborate with experienced paid media, SEO, design, and strategy teams
- Combine strategic CRO guidance with hands‑on implementation
- Help define the standards, tools, and repeatable solutions used as the division grows
- Hybrid office with 2 remote working days per week
- Competitive starting salary based on experience
- Retirement plan with 3% company match, immediate vesting
- $475/month towards our group health and dental plan
- Two weeks paid vacation in the first year
- Casual, friendly work environment
