JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant at their offices in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time role paying an annual salary of $65K to $85K plus a competitive bonus and benefits package. This role is on a hybrid work week allowing for 2 days a week remote work.

Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will possess at minimum 3 - 8 years of experience supporting attorneys in a law firm setting
  • E-filing in Federal and State courts and Court of Appeals
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and principles
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to analyze legal documents and ensure accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with limited guidance
  • MS Office, Zoom, and Adobe proficiency required
  • Experience with key legal applications including Perfect Law, M365, Adobe, Drop Box, Odyssey, PACER
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of legal documents and correspondence from draft to proofread final
  • Reformatting pleadings and documents
  • Manage all aspects of scheduling and calendaring
  • Prioritize and manage multiple cases/projects
  • Coordinates preparation and filing of pleadings and briefs
  • Manages service of process; files with court and serves on parties; coordinates with local counsel
  • Organize and maintain electronic case files
