Latitude is seeking a seasoned privacy attorney with 7–10+ years of experience to work on a part-time engagement with its dynamic SaaS company client. The ideal candidate will have practiced at a top-tier law firm or within a sophisticated in-house legal department, including at least four years focused specifically on privacy law. This role requires strong technical privacy expertise, sound business judgment, and a demonstrated ability to build trusted cross-functional partnerships while enabling innovation in a fast-moving enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clear, pragmatic privacy advice to support business strategies and enterprise-wide initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including senior leaders inside and outside the Legal Department
- Serve as a trusted advisor across the enterprise on privacy and data protection matters
- Negotiate privacy and information security terms in technology, vendor, and service provider agreements
- Support privacy impact assessments and project reviews to identify and mitigate legal and operational risks
- Lead and manage cross-functional efforts to address privacy-related legal risks
- Monitor and assess U.S. and Canadian legislative, regulatory, and enforcement developments
- Demonstrate deep subject-matter expertise in privacy compliance and best practices
- Thrive in an environment with evolving priorities, ambiguity, and innovation
- 7–10+ years of legal experience, with at least 4 years concentrated in privacy law
- Significant experience negotiating vendor and service provider agreements
- Working knowledge of U.S. and Canadian privacy laws, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GLBA, HIPAA, PIPEDA, CCPA, and behavioral advertising frameworks
- IAPP certification (CIPP/US, CIPP/C, or similar) preferred
- Strong analytical, communication, and executive-facing advisory skills
- Ability to tailor complex advice clearly to varied audiences
- Familiarity with emerging technology, e-commerce, marketing, targeted advertising, and data analytics preferred
- J.D. from an accredited US law school
- Bar licensing in state of residence

Pay:
The annualized pay for this position ranges from $180,000 to $210,000+ when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
