As our firm continues to grow, we are opening one position for an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney or Litigator.
Starting salary $110,000 or above (commensurate with experience). Bonuses! Benefits! 1. Associate Attorney (Minimum 3 Years of Illinois Family Law Experience or 3 years of litigation experience; perfect for an experienced solo practitioner, current or former ASAs/PDs)Cohen Law LLC is seeking an exceptional Associate Attorney with a minimum of three years of Illinois family law experience (or litigation) to join our boutique practice in Northbrook.
This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule with remote work opportunities based on experience, performance, and the needs of the firm. We value collaboration and understand that flexibility helps our team perform at its best while continuing to provide exceptional service to our clients.

We are a boutique family law firm representing clients throughout Chicago's North Shore and surrounding communities in divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, parenting time, relocation, child support, maintenance, complex financial matters, and other sophisticated family law cases.

3. What You'll Do- Managing your own family law caseload with mentorship and support
- Appearing in court for status hearings, evidentiary hearings, and trials
- Drafting pleadings, motions, financial affidavits, discovery, settlement agreements, and legal correspondence
- Conducting legal research and developing litigation strategy
- Taking and defending depositions
- Negotiating settlements while preparing every case as though it may proceed to trial
- Working directly with clients to provide thoughtful guidance and practical solutions
- Collaborating with attorneys and staff to deliver an exceptional client experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of three (3) years of Illinois family law experience or litigation experience.
- An Illinois law license in good standing
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and courtroom skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Confidence balanced with humility
- A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of your work
- Integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
- The ability to work independently while thriving as part of a collaborative team
