This is what the position is about:
- Caseload Management
:
Support attorneys in managing a high-volume workers' compensation caseload from intake through resolution. - Tech-Driven Workflow
:
Work daily with state-of-the-art legal software, AI systems, and firm communication protocols. - Client Communication
:
Provide a quality client experience by delivering regular verbal and written updates. - Client-First Mindset
:
Serve injured workers with empathy, embodying our ethos of Injury Law Made Personal. - Spanish Translation
:
Assist Spanish-speaking clients by translating complex legal documents and medical records (preferred). - Collaboration
:
Work closely with attorneys, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and the internal support team. - Administrative Support
:
Prepare workers' compensation forms (Form 45, applications for adjustment of claim), organize medical records, and schedule depositions.
What we are looking for:
- Proven Track Record
:
Demonstrable experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, specifically handling Illinois workers' compensation claims. - Language Skills
:
Professional fluency in written and spoken Spanish is highly preferred to serve our diverse client base. - Caseload Efficiency

Ability to manage a busy workload without sacrificing organization or client service quality. - Client Advocacy
: A mindset focused on helping injured people navigate the complex workers' compensation system. - Work Ethic & Availability

Ability and willingness to handle difficult, emotional conversations with clients and adjusters with tact and grace. - Local Expertise
:
Familiarity with the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission (IWCC) rules and procedures.

Competitive base salary starting between $50,000 and $75,000 annually
