Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its practice in East St. Louis, IL. This full-time remote position involves handling a diverse caseload related to consumer protection, with responsibilities in transactional and civil litigation matters. The role requires communication with the firm's New York headquarters via electronic means.

• Maintain and supervise a heavy and diversified caseload in Illinois.
• Communicate with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and review agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
• Conduct legal research on contract law and consumer law issues.
• Travel for in-court appearances as required.

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels.
• Strong legal research skills; proficiency in Lexis Nexis is a plus.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
