Building & Grounds Technician

• Respond to work orders in the Plymouth area
• Perform landscape installations including seeding, digging and planting
• Provide lawn care including mowing, trimming, mulching, weeding, brush clearing, watering and plant care
• Clean buildings, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, light fixtures, windows, baseboards and cobwebs
• Perform snow removal, snow melt and sand spreading, and ice control
• Maintain Home Office grounds, including lawn maintenance, shrub grooming, salting and shoveling
• Pick up building grounds
• Coordinate movement of lawn and snow removal equipment and supplies between properties
• Complete turnover cleaning and deficient items on turnover checklists
• Clean apartment trash-outs and dispose of, package, store or remove abandoned items
• Clean and maintain storage rooms
• Perform water extraction
• Perform or coordinate mice and other pest extermination
• Perform light ongoing maintenance of small engines and oversee seasonal machine tune-ups, including oil and spark plug changes
• Act as backup to Home Office personnel in notice distribution
• Assist with fall cleanup and other seasonal projects
• Perform miscellaneous cleaning, including trash pickup, window glass, mopping, carpet spot cleaning or shampooing, counters and appliances
• Maintain cleanliness and proper care of company-owned vehicles and equipment
• Follow safety rules and safely operate snow-removal, lawn and landscaping tools
• Perform light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and blinds
• Work efficiently and cost-effectively
• Meet daily with the supervisor or assigned Portfolio Managers
• Attend company meetings as needed
• Complete special projects assigned by management or owners

• Ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 2 months of employment
• Some knowledge of operating light machines like snow blowers, lawn mowers, trimmers or carpet cleaning equipment
• Ability and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid Driver’s License and meet car insurance requirements
• Ability to stand, lift and bend for up to 8 hours (with breaks) in hot/cold and wet environments
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to operate applicable phone applications for work orders, time allocation and information look-up
• Multi-housing experience is a plus!

Demonstrates expertise in landscape installation, lawn care, and building maintenance while ensuring safety and efficiency in operations. Capable of performing light maintenance and coordinating equipment movement across properties.
