The Manager of Deposit Services manages and leads a team of Deposit Account Agents, Account Advisors, Account Auditors, Operations Advisors, Assistant Manager and a Senior Operations Specialist. They are responsible for the execution of enterprise and departmental procedural and policy commitments to all deposit account holders. They provide oversight of account lifecycle as to onboarding, servicing and offboarding functions that support our retail and business account portfolios utilizing various platforms.
The Manager provides direct operational oversight of the Foreign Account(s) portfolio for servicing and offboarding;
Merchant Servicing Platform, and Commercial Deposit servicing needs. They drive, measure and improve service performance metrics in relationship with Branch Delivery and Business Operations. They provide oversight of EOY Tax processing procedures, annual Escheatment Process, monthly Expulsion Process as well as the member Statement Vendor Platform. They work directly with branch leadership and staff to provide deposit product and servicing guidelines.
This includes audit and coaching on processes and procedures. They implement and support corporate strategies and goals. They provide executive account support and reporting as to specific SME knowledge with regard to deposit portfolio services for both Retail and Business accounts. They foster and promote a safety-conscious and hostile-free work environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
Essential Functions:
- Coach and lead the Deposit Services team to meet operational performance goals through regular coaching sessions, and the semi-annual and annual review process
- Demonstrate technical writing on policies and procedures to support operational demands
- Monitor fraud detection and prevention on new accounts
- Monitor and oversee special account processing to include Negative Share Charge Offs, Account Expulsions, Deceased Accounts, and Escheatment Process
- Lead team in meeting all legal and compliance standards that support deposit account functions, products and services
- Communicate performance metrics to multiple internal parties
- Coordinate ongoing training needs of the team as it relates to deposit product and service delivery
- Responsible for tracking, improving and reporting audit results from internal QC audit functions
- Facilitate internal and external audit methodologies
- Participate in product recovery strategies
- Participate in member appreciation functions
- Interact with members at a point of escalation in conflict resolution, employee account processing to support operational integrity
- Assist with departmental forecasting for strategic planning purposes
- Demonstrates strong operations aptitude
- Strong analytical and strategic skills

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in the credit union or financial services industry
- 2+ years’ leadership or management experience
