The Spirit of the Position

The Assistant
Facilities Manager oversees the operations of one or more locations, under the direction of the Area Manager, to ensure 24/7 professional parking management. As a company devoted to promoting an employee‑focused servant leadership culture, the Assistant Facilities Manager will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the individual needs of their operational teams throughout the assigned location(s).

Principal

Job Duties
  • Lead, direct, and develop a team of employees at parking location(s).
  • Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of on‑site employees.
  • Identify high‑potential employees to support the organization’s continued growth.
  • Process payroll; ensure sign‑off on hours promptly; collaborate with the local payroll department and HR Business Partner to ensure wage and hour compliance.
  • Execute plans for the opening of newly assigned locations.
  • Develop client relationships and business retention.
  • Organize and deliver parking management skills to supervisors and team leads.
  • Implement and deliver all requirements outlined within the contractual agreement between LAZ Parking and clients.
  • Assist the region with operations preparation for potential new locations, including rate surveys, ticket pulls, etc.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial and operational reports as required.
  • Maximize revenue, manage expenses, and maintain customer satisfaction by meeting service thresholds and initiatives aligned with client expectations.
  • Plan, schedule, train, and direct supervisors and team leads, ensuring compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Implement and complete projects, programs, and initiatives arising from the operation of assigned locations.
  • Participate in labor contract management if applicable.
  • Communicate with local police and emergency management teams regarding operations.
  • Organize and manage oversight of event operations within LAZ Parking; be present for all events as needed.
  • Monitor, review, and analyze market rate structures.
  • Complete other projects, programs, and initiatives as they arise.
  • Additional related duties as assigned.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • 2+ years in a management role
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general Microsoft Office Applications
  • Parking management experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience with financial statements/accounting, P&L reports, and budgeting
  • Flexible schedule to meet operational needs; must work nights, weekends, and holidays as required, including occasional outside regular hours
