* * Responsible for managing an implementation group that works on large scale, complex, enterprise wide initiatives. These initiatives involve technology change, business process redesigns and operating model reviews/ amendments. Conducts performance management and career development processes, and staffing and disciplinary actions. Job focus is on managing others and applying operational or strategic management skills. Management responsibilities and decisions include hiring, performance reviews, pay decisions and development.

Achieves goals mostly through work of others. Provides leadership to managers and professional staff. Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams. Develops departmental plans, including business, production and/or organizational priorities. Decisions are guided by resource availability and organizational objectives.

We are seeking an Implementation Manager to lead a large scale, highly complex, enterprise wide cloud transformation initiative. This role will require subject manager expertise in Northern Trust’s portfolio accounting and fund accounting products, and will be responsible for designing and implementing a scalable future state technology, business, product, and operating model. In the role, the Implementation Manager will be responsible for managing multiple functions, providing leadership and guidance to subordinate managers, and taking full ownership of the project deliverables with minimal supervision.

Additionally, this individual will be expected to look across all corporate strategic initiatives to understand how the big picture initiatives link together in a holistic roadmap, validating that the work they are executing is aligned to that overall roadmap. Accountability for the project outcome, performance management, and career development programs for this implementation function will also sit with the Implementation Manager.
