Chicago | 3 days in the office, 2 days work from home

This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact pricing leadership role within a premier professional services environment. As Senior Pricing Manager, you’ll work directly with firm leadership, partners, and cross-functional teams to shape pricing strategy, advise on complex fee arrangements, and help drive profitability and client value.

You’ll lead a talented pricing team while having a voice in how the firm approaches pricing, rate strategy, RFPs, and alternative fee arrangements. Responibilities
  • Oversee the development of hourly rate and alternative fee arrangement proposals, including financial modeling, benchmarking, and matter performance analysis.
  • Provide strategic guidance on pricing structures, rate frameworks, negotiation strategies, and internal approval processes.
  • Analyze fee arrangements to identify opportunities that improve competitiveness, efficiency, profitability, and overall client value.
  • Collaborate with client legal operations teams during pricing negotiations when appropriate.
  • Support Global Practice Leaders and the Pricing Committee by evaluating fee proposals, client data, and financial performance.
  • Help execute the firm's annual billing rate strategy by coordinating benchmarking data, timelines, and communication across key stakeholders.
  • Develop pricing content for RFPs, proposals, and fee renegotiations while partnering with Business Development leadership to establish best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline pricing operations through process improvement, automation, technology, and new approaches to pricing.
  • Monitor legal pricing trends, tools, and industry benchmarks to help the firm continually evolve its pricing strategy.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while creating a strong culture of collaboration and professional growth.
  • Partner with Strategic Planning, Marketing, Financial Terms Management, Conflicts and New Business, Revenue Management, and other teams to align pricing initiatives with broader business goals.
  • Develop training materials, tools, market data, and resources that support continued innovation and development across the Pricing team.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 8+ years of accounting and financial analysis experience, including significant experience in legal pricing
  • Experience with in a large law firm or professional services environment
  • Master's degree, MBA, or CPA
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience with a track record of developing and mentoring business professionals
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
