Email Marketing Manager

We are seeking a results-oriented Email Marketing Manager to lead our lifecycle marketing efforts and help accelerate growth across the customer journey. This role is a part of our Growth Team and reports into the VP of Growth. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and has experience building high-performing CRM programs that increase conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value.

This role will play a key part in deepening relationships with families by delivering relevant, personalized communications that support our mission of making healthy, nutritious meals more accessible and convenient for parents.

Nurture Life is based in the River North neighborhood of Chicago. We offer a hybrid work environment: team members work three days per week from our office with the flexibility to work two days per week remotely.

• Monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing key CRM performance metrics, including conversion rates, retention, engagement, and customer lifetime value, to drive measurable business growth
• Planning, creating and managing email, SMS, and push notification marketing campaigns end-to-end focused on conversion, lead generation, customer retention and content distribution
• Managing and optimizing our abandoned cart, customer nurture, and winback campaigns, including segmenting campaigns by demographics, interest and visitor behavior
• Managing and improving our onboarding communications for new customers to drive greater retention
• Managing the creative, content and workflow processes for all email communications
• Managing the Nurture Life customer database Creating a lead generation funnel and corresponding campaigns focused on engaging prospects with content
• Developing advanced analytics and reporting measuring performance across all of our CRM initiatives
• Working towards creating a 1:1 customer journey via segmentation, triggered sends and timely messaging
• Ad hoc projects as necessary
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
• 3+ years managing email and SMS channels
• 3+ years experience in customer relationship management
• A track record of successfully converting leads into customers
• Experience leveraging customer segmentation to provide an optimal user experience
• Have strong experience in Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics, conducting campaign analysis and A/B testing
• Have strong experience managing an ESP such as Klaviyo, Iterable or Attentive.
• Demonstrate strong writing and ad copy creation skills
• SQL, Looker, Heap experience is a plus
• Experience in a direct to consumer subscription business is a plus
