Overview
The Manager leads end‑to‑end customer project execution, including briefing, media & creative development, timeline, client & vendor relationships, communication, budget management, and activation. They support the Director on development of strategic retailer media plans, liaison to vendor partners, gather performance data, and optimize programs.
Primary Responsibilities- Work with internal cross‑functional teams to develop actionable strategies, concepts and tactics.
- Oversee and direct the work of the Sr. Account Executive and/or Account Executive assigned to the business.
- Manage implementation of key client projects.
- Build strong relationships with retailer client contacts.
- Oversee execution of approved programs through the team, ensuring Ad Ops tagging and reporting compliance.
- Collaborate with external vendors/agencies to execute projects.
- Activate and manage partnership relationships with other manufacturers or properties.
- Identify retailer direct and manufacturer platforms.
- Develop and manage project timelines and budgets.
- Proactively communicate project status and budget to client teams.
- Plan and implement retail marketing extensions of brand and category programs (national retainer clients).
- Manage client approval process.
- Measure post‑promotion results.
- Travel occasionally.
- Must reside within commutable distance to our office in Cincinnati or Chicago for a hybrid work schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business or related field.
- 5‑7 years of experience in marketing or media at retail.
- Proven project management experience.
- Experience with retail media networks and media vendors.
- Strategic thinking in shopper marketing and day‑to‑day business.
- Sound decision‑making skills based on industry knowledge.
- Passion for improving growth for assigned clients.
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to get the job done.
