Strategic Communications Specialist – Execute Geotab’s communications strategy to build reputation, drive media engagement, and advance business objectives.

• Develop and execute communication initiatives that deliver impactful messaging to a diverse audience.
• Create content and storytelling strategy including media releases, social media, presentations, and data analysis.
• Manage media reporting program: media metrics, wire distribution, insights, and dashboards.
• Coordinate campaigns, announcements, media briefings, press interactions, and presence at industry events.
• Build and manage relationships with journalists and external stakeholders to build reputation.
• Monitor media trends, tools, technologies and recommend improvements.
• Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to inform strategy.

• 3–5 years of experience in corporate, technology, or agency communications.
• Proven media relations experience with North American journalists, trade reporters, and influencers.
• Experience with media measurement & monitoring tools (CISION, Meltwater, Google Analytics, AI‑driven solutions).
• Exceptional writing skills across media releases, social media, and presentations.
• Experience in strategic planning, annual plan development, and performance reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field; advanced diploma considered an asset.
• Polished communicator able to represent Geotab with journalists, executives, partners, and at events.
