Account Director — Atlanta

Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is hiring a strategic, high‑velocity Account Director for our Atlanta office. We look for a modern storyteller with a generalist mindset, comfortable leading high‑growth tech accounts, consumer launches, large‑scale events, or social good campaigns. You must have at least 8 years in the industry.

• Lead multidisciplinary narrative architecture, managing 4–6 client accounts and delivering 360‑degree communications strategies across traditional media, social platforms, and cultural touchpoints.
• Act as the bridge between earned media, social strategy, and talent integration to create integrated moments for clients.
• Serve as senior executive counsel, building trusting relationships with corporate, media, nonprofit, and entertainment clients, and providing guidance in high‑pressure situations.
• Leverage a multi‑vertical media network to secure impactful placements and out‑of‑the‑box media moments, pitching alongside the team and leading by example.
• Plan and execute media‑specific events—from press conferences to influencer activations—owning strategy, credentialing, and on‑site coordination.
• Lead new business development meetings, craft persuasive proposals, and continuously bring new opportunities and innovative ideas to clients and the agency.
• Mentor and coach junior staff, fostering a supportive team culture.
• Maintain professionalism, transparency, and discretion in all interactions with team, clients, and media.

• At least 8 years of experience in PR and communications, with a proven record of securing impactful press across multiple industries.
• Direct team leadership for a minimum of 2 years, with strong skills in motivating staff and driving performance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of integrated communications—including social media, creative, and brand integration—and an ability to think strategically.
• Exceptional storytelling and writing skills; able to translate complex brand missions into compelling narratives.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and agility, with a drive to improve internal processes and client campaigns.
• Highly organized, accountable, and capable of managing multiple projects with shifting priorities.
• Strong EQ and IQ, comfortable in high‑velocity, high‑pressure environments.
