Ford Harrison is seeking a Marketing & Events Coordinator to join our collaborative Marketing & Business Development Department. Our team is known for its supportive culture, strong cross-functional partnerships, and long employee tenure. This is a hybrid position based in our Atlanta office, with a regular combination of in-office and remote work. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful projects, work closely with attorneys and business development professionals across the firm, and contribute to a department that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is curious, proactive, embraces emerging technologies, and enjoys finding new ways to improve processes and elevate the firm's marketing and client development efforts.

Responsibilities

This person would lead and manage many of the day-to-day marketing and event activities, supporting firm marketing/business development initiatives and responding to requests from attorneys throughout the firm. Responsibilities would include:

  • Overseeing the development of firm marketing materials (including brochures, business cards, reference guides, invitations, holiday cards, etc.) and working with the Marketing Assistant in the printing and distribution of these materials;
  • Managing the scheduling and planning of conferences and events, both in-person and virtual, and coordinating the firm's involvement in large sponsor ships throughout the country;
  • Creating, curating, and managing engaging and shareable content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, X, Instagram, and Linked In;
  • Monitoring social media trends, audience engagement, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Overseeing content development and updates on the firm's website;
  • Overseeing the firm's CRM system, including onboarding new attorneys, evaluating and recommending enhancements, and working with the Marketing Assistant on database updates and additions;
  • Leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance content creation, research, event planning, workflow efficiency, and other marketing and business development initiatives while exercising sound judgment, verifying accuracy, and protecting confidential information;
  • Evaluating media contacts to identify those that offer the best opportunity for placement, drafting and distributing press releases, and working with media contacts to ensure placement;
  • Reviewing presentations for attorneys for compliance with copyright laws;
  • Researching and evaluating publications, AI tools, marketing technologies, and third-party PR and marketing services and making recommendations on investment of firm resources based on their potential value;
  • Coordinating the firm's advertising needs, including evaluating advertising opportunities, providing recommendations, and designing and submitting ads to publications; and
  • Providing support to the Chief Client Development Officer, Marketing Manager, and Business Development Managers on larger firm-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have a college degree in marketing or related field and professional marketing experience, preferably in a legal or other professional services environment.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, AI productivity tools (such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT), and client relationship management databases.
  • A self-starter who can hit the ground running and has excellent writing and communications skills and a strong client service orientation.
  • Ability to lead and manage large projects in content marketing and events, from inception to successful completion.
  • Must be able to evaluate media, advertising, and marketing opportunities and provide recommendations.
  • Flexible – can adjust and react to changing priorities and opportunities and has the ability and willingness to handle multiple projects under pressured deadlines.
  • Use of discretion and independent judgment regarding recommendations and decisions for the firm.
  • Expected to understand, maintain, and protect client confidentiality when preparing any external firm communication (press releases, legal alerts, proposals).
  • Several multi-day domestic travel trips required annually.
