Office is open with most staff currently working 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working remotely. This is not a fully remote position. Must be able to reliably commute to the office 3 days per week.

Director of Development & Donor Relations
The OMS Foundation Staff Associate assists the Director of Development & Donor Relations and provides administrative support to the Foundation Board of Directors and its Committees. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed to fulfill the mission and goals of the Foundation.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in a nonprofit fundraising/development environment preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
- Proficiency in utilizing Virtuous or comparable fundraising database preferred.
- Knowledge of IT networks and applications.
- Must be systems-focused, self-directed, well organized and attentive to detail.
- Must exhibit professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
- Must be willing to work evenings and weekends on occasion, with some travel.
- Create content for Foundation and Association newsletters.
- Support creation of donor recognition materials (PowerPoint, Word).
- Oversee distribution of targeted communications, including appeals, donor communications, newsletters, etc.
- Record incoming contributions in the fundraising database.
- Process donor acknowledgment correspondence.
- Staff liaison for Alliance Committee meetings and events.
- Maintain master schedule of OMS Society conferences.
- Coordinate off-site fundraising and cultivation events including scheduling, logistics management, supplies procurement and speaker engagement.
- Staff Foundation information booth at select off-site meetings.
- Investigate and respond to donor inquiries.
- Manage relationships with third party software providers and payment processing systems.
- Manage fundraising database to ensure accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
- Ensures that the Foundation staff has the necessary reports for fulfillment of their responsibilities.
- Deploys latest upgrades for Foundation–specific software to maintain stable and secure environment.
- Ensures that the Foundation remains in compliance with the Donor Recognition Policy in terms of reporting.
- Ensures proper coding and timely deployment of mass email campaigns and e-newsletters.
- Maintain master schedule of Foundation Board and Committee meetings.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agenda materials.
- Support preparation and distribution of meeting minutes.
- Work with AAOMS logistics staff to prepare for and execute Foundation events.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Perform other similar or related duties as assigned.
Salary Range $65,000-$70,000 per year
