Job SummaryThe Development Operations Coordinator supports the fundraising and donor stewardship efforts of the organization by managing Development operations, ensuring accurate donor data management, and facilitating effective communication and engagement with donors.
Duties and Responsibilities- Data Management
- Manage and maintain donor and donation records in the CRM (Salesforce).
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of donor data, including regular data cleansing and updates.
- Generate and analyze reports on fundraising activities and donor engagement. Provide on-demand pipeline and revenue reports and produce portfolio reports.
- Maintain Fiscal Year Dashboard features and subscriptions across organization.
- Process incoming donations and issue timely acknowledgements and receipts.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department to reconcile donations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Donor Stewardship
- Support the creation and implementation of donor stewardship plans, including personalized acknowledgements and touchpoints.
- Coordinate the preparation and mailing of thank-you notes, newsletters, annual stewardship letters, and other donor communications.
- Event Support
- Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events, including managing RSVPs, attendee communication, and post-event follow-up.
- Pull and share attendee and donor reports post-event with relevant team members.
- Communication and Engagement
- Draft and schedule donor communications, including emails, newsletters, and event invitations.
- Manage feedback surveys and compile results for analysis and reporting.
- Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the development team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Maintain development team documentation and files.
- Collaboration and Coordination
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and branding in donor communications.
- Work closely with the team and senior staff to support high-level donor engagement activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes and systems.
- Stay informed about best practices in nonprofit development and donor stewardship.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and ability to adapt to new technological tools.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
- Experience with event planning and coordination.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (Salesforce, Account Engagement)
- Analytical skills and experience with report generation and data analysis.
- Remote – home office
- Sitting for extended periods of time using a keyboard and mouse for data entry, email communication, and other computer-based tasks.
- May provide event assistance by setting up, tearing down, lifting and carry boxes (usually 25-35 pounds) of materials, equipment and supplies
- Must be flexible to adjust work hours to accommodate certain meetings and events.
