Registered Nurse - Pre Admissions Testing

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Position: Registered Nurse - Pre Procedure Services
• Location: 4901 Searle Pkwy Skokie IL
• Part Time: 20 hours per week
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 8a-4:30p;
  No calls or weekends
• May be eligible for remote work once requirements are met (after 1 yr)

• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
• Certification: BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years-experience in peri anesthesia (PAT, Pre-op, PACU/Phase
  2);
  Strong background in Pre-admission testing strongly preferred.

• Conducts patient interview via telephone prior to scheduled surgeries to obtain and share procedural information and directions.
• Provides patient education via telephone related to upcoming surgery.
• Informs patient of pre-anesthetic evaluation process.
• Collaborates closely with the Anesthesia provider team.
• Ensures required pre-surgical testing is completed prior to patient surgical appointment.
• Integrates research findings into nursing practice.
• Works cohesively with related nursing areas prior to surgical procedure.
• Maintains knowledge of nursing procedures specific to different service lines.
• Maintains knowledge and competency reflective of current standards of nursing practice.
• Promotes hospital quality improvement goals.
• Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
• Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Guides and directs assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicates and collaborates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes high quality patient experience.
