Job SummaryOur Valuation, Advisory/Analytics group is adding a new Real Estate Valuation Analyst to our team. This is a hybrid model position and will be based out of the Atlanta office.
You will be part of a collaborative and dynamic team, gaining experience in the business of appraisal, appraisal review and appraisal management for all property types. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to Valuation across numerous asset types and multiple clients. You will also learn how to set up and manage the client workflow process and work with the Argus Intelligence Platform.
Key Responsibilities- Professional development: become Argus Certified and grow knowledge within the Commercial Real Estate field.
- Hands‑on exposure to a range of real estate property projects across the country, gaining insights into property valuations and appraisals, working collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Appraisal management: learn and apply the administrative tasks that drive the Altus-client appraisal process, gain insights into market analysis and valuation, contribute to Argus Intelligence Platform setup, schedule calls, and draft engagement letters.
- Prepare and review cash‑flow models using ARGUS Enterprise, using factual client data to build and assess cash‑flow models.
- Appraisal: learn the process of market analysis, data gathering, valuation assumptions, and determine reasonable valuation assumptions (market rent, rent growth, yields, etc.).
- Appraisal review: review third‑party appraisal reports, cash‑flow models, and valuation metrics to ensure compliance with USPAP and state regulations.
- Participate in training: complete On‑Boarding Training (Core Competency Training, Business Practices and Ethics, USPAP & Basic Appraisal Principles and Procedures) and become ARGUS Certified.
- A Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; potential exposure to the CRE industry through internships.
- Strong skills in business writing, research, quantitative and analytical skills; proficient in Excel (x‑lookups, pivot tables, DCF models); familiarity with ARGUS Enterprise is a plus.
- Proactive, resourceful, and committed to continuous learning and certification.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and ability to convey technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work outside regular hours.
