Summary
Based primarily in the Chicago boutique and supporting additional market boutiques, the Manager, Fashion Expertise develops boutique teams' expertise in collections, product knowledge, luxury service standards, and styling. This role acts as the liaison between the Fashion Expertise office and retail teams to ensure consistent storytelling and elevated client experiences. The manager delivers in‑boutique and off‑floor training, provides one‑on‑one coaching, and partners with boutique leadership to sustain and improve retail performance.
Responsibilities- Deliver inspiring, in‑boutique and off‑floor training on collections, savoir‑faire, product knowledge, and service behaviors.
- Coach Style Advisors and Fashion Advisors to provide personalized styling, curate looks, and build strong client relationships.
- Facilitate styling workshops, observe advisor performance, and monitor training effectiveness through qualitative feedback.
- Partner with Boutique Leadership to co‑create individual development plans, onboarding programs, and action plans to address business objectives.
- Promote and track completion of digital learning content and support KPI tracking related to styling and client appointments.
- Provide structured on‑site coaching, evaluations, and qualitative insights to the Fashion Expertise Home Office.
- Support and participate in client styling appointments and follow up on opportunities identified during appointments.
- Travel frequently across boutiques within the market to deliver training and maintain boutique standards.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in luxury fashion, retail, or hospitality.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in retail training, coaching, and evaluating boutique teams, preferably in the luxury sector.
- Recognized styling expertise and strong fashion flair with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 15 lbs and walk or stand for extended periods; flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to travel frequently within the market and work on the boutique floor to develop and coach teams.
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
