Position: Account Manager – Supplements / Nutritional Ingredients
Location: Ideally located in Chicago, IL
Territory: Midwest, USA (MI, OH, IN, IL, MO, IA, MN, NE, ND, SD)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Travel: Remote with up to 50% travel including overnight and international travel (Canada & USA)
We are seeking a high-energy, hunter‑type sales professional who thrives on developing new customers and expanding existing relationships within the supplement and nutrition industry. As an Account Manager, you will prospect, build a robust pipeline, and close deals across the Midwest territory. Your success will be measured by new customer acquisition, expansion of Quadra’s footprint, and achieving sales, margin and volume targets.
MainResponsibilities
- Proactively prospect in a wide-open territory with high upside potential.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline that is always full and moves aggressively toward close.
- Execute outbound activities including cold calls, emails, social outreach, and in‑person visits.
- Identify and engage key decision makers, navigating through gatekeepers.
- Introduce and push Quadra’s products into new customers and expand applications within existing accounts.
- Prioritize daily customer interactions to strengthen relationships and convert opportunities into sales.
- Achieve and exceed sales, margin and volume targets.
- Manage time, tasks and territory with strong organization and professionalism.
- Negotiate and close deals with urgency and a winning mindset.
- Maintain accurate reporting to provide leadership with visibility into pipeline progress, wins and losses.
- Leverage internal and external resources to deliver exceptional service aligned with Quadra’s industry reputation.
- Deliver clear, compelling presentations and written communications.
- Outgoing and willing to invest time with prospects/customers during and after typical business hours.
- Open to learning new ideas, strategies, products and applications.
- Natural bias to action and highly results‑driven.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Passion for the industry, curiosity and strong technical skills.
- Strong ability to motivate oneself, learn new technologies, and adapt to new situations.
- Completed bachelor’s degree in science, business or commerce.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in the supplement and/or ingredients industry.
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, including prospecting, negotiation, business development and closing.
- Proven ability to build trustful relationships, identify opportunities, tailor solutions and communicate value propositions.
- Strong network of industry contacts and knowledge of supplements market trends, regulations and development.
- Product formulation or chemistry background is an asset but not required.
- Track record of sales growth and customer retention.
- Organizational and problem‑solving skills in managing, monitoring and closing sales opportunities.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight and international travel (Canada & USA).
- Valid passport and driver’s license.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and KPIs.
- Proficient computer skills, experience with a CRM (ideally Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite.

The annual base pay range for this role is $79,500 to $124,300 USD. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package – you will also be eligible for performance incentives and benefits.
