What you'll be doing
- The Strategic Account Manager's goal is to develop a pipeline of SMB clients, introduce new upsell products and features, conduct product demonstrations, and close deals to secure incremental revenue.
- Lead inside sales activities: outbound calls, web demos, pricing negotiations, contract execution via Docu Sign, email campaigns with Marketing, and use of digital sales tools.
- Maintain a high focus on serving existing SMB accounts within the market organization.
- Drive revenue through closing orders for additional vehicles, asset‑tracking solutions, and emerging software services as part of Verizon Connect’s growing portfolio.
- Partner with customer support, implementation, and deployment teams to ensure full customer support.
- Communicate sales activity metrics daily with the team and drive peer activity.
- Manage a diverse book of business across various industries.
- Prioritize activities and manage the pipeline to achieve goals, emphasizing personal productivity and accurate forecasting.
- Follow up on proposals and negotiate contracts in collaboration with the Associate Director.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners from sale through implementation.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline of viable opportunities currently being pursued for contract signing.
In this hybrid role, you will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
You'll need to have- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Three or more years of relevant work experience in a SaaS environment or B2B sales.
- Previous experience selling into SMB accounts.
- Consultative selling experience.
- 3+ years of B2B inside sales experience.
- 1+ years of product sales account management experience.
- Account management experience.
8-5 Central Time, 40 hours per week.

Compensation is commission‑based with the potential to earn more. The annual salary range for Illinois locations is $61,500.00 – $.
