Role Description
The Business Development Representative is the front line of the Site Vibes Sales team. We find the world’s fastest‑growing ecommerce stores and help them make their shopping experience even better using our best‑in‑class solution via impactful, value‑driven outreach and great conversations. We take them from “What is Site Vibes” to “How have I gone this long without it!”. You will also have the exciting opportunity to assist in helping grow the Site Vibes Sales approach.
This role is located in Chicago, IL, with flexibility for some remote work. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for finding new leads and scheduling demos.
This role is a base salary + commission.
You’ll be working on things like:
- Identifying good fit merchants and crafting compelling messaging via email and phone to build interest in a conversation- these merchants may or may not have even heard of Site Vibes.
- Maintaining active engagement with new and existing leads through our CRM, Salesforce.
- Triage and connect inquiries to the appropriate members of the Site Vibes Sales Reps by conducting high‑level qualifying conversations with prospective merchants.
- Actively sourcing, building, and managing new sales leads.
- Demonstrating an ability to engage with C‑level executives.
Qualifications:
- Experience in outbound sales/business development role.
- High‑energy and have a positive attitude.
- Merchant‑focused mentality.
- Demonstrate excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Be a highly motivated, driven, and self‑starting individual who can hit the ground running.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and be able to live in the grey.
- Strong process improvement skills to help develop the role as things change with the business.
- Experience with sales tools (i.e. Salesforce, Hub Spot, Apollo, Linkedin, etc).
Bonus:
- Experience working in New Business Sales.
- Experience selling or in depth knowledge of one or more of the following industries:
Ecommerce, Retail, B2B. - Previous experience selling ecommerce SaaS software is a major plus.
- Experience with MEDDICC, BANT, and Challenger sales methodologies is a plus.
