Technical Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer role at Manu‑Tek, Inc. is a full‑time, hybrid position based in Naperville, IL, with some work‑from‑home flexibility. In this role, you will engage with industrial customers to understand their automation needs, present technical solutions, and support the sales process from initial contact through implementation. Daily activities include conducting product demonstrations, writing RFQ’s, responding to technical inquiries, and collaborating with manufacturers to tailor solutions.

You will visit customer sites, provide application support, deliver technical presentations, and maintain regular communication to ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term relationships. The role also involves tracking opportunities in a CRM system, staying current on industrial automation technologies, and contributing feedback to improve offerings and customer experience.

• Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions.
• Demonstrated Sales and Customer Service skills, including prospecting, relationship building, and follow‑through on opportunities.
• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers, manufacturers, and internal team members.
• Background in industrial automation, engineering, or a related technical field; experience with manufacturing applications is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment, including on‑site customer visits and remote work, with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel within Illinois and Wisconsin as needed and valid driver’s license.
