Job Overview
The Insider Threat Insights Expert plays a key role in advancing Allstate’s insider threat program through risk analytics, investigative governance, and operational quality assurance. The role partners closely with second‑line risk, compliance, privacy, legal, and cybersecurity stakeholders to develop risk models, establish governance frameworks, and strengthen oversight of insider threat detection and investigation activities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain insider threat risk models, scoring methodologies, and risk indicators used to identify, prioritize, and Escalate potential insider risk.
- Partner with second‑line risk, compliance, privacy, legal, and cybersecurity functions to align insider threat activities with enterprise risk management and governance frameworks.
- Establish and maintain investigative governance standards, including intake criteria, prioritization methodologies, escalation pathways, and documentation requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of investigations to promote consistency, defensibility, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement of investigative practices.
- Develop metrics and reporting that measure investigative effectiveness, case quality, program maturity, and emerging insider risk trends.
- 5+ years of experience in insider threat, cybersecurity, fraud, investigations, compliance, risk management, or related analytical disciplines.
- Experience developing risk models, scoring methodologies, risk indicators, or analytical frameworks used to identify and prioritize risk.
- Experience supporting governance, quality assurance, audit, compliance, or operational oversight functions within a risk‑focused environment.
- Experience partnering with cross‑functional stakeholders, including Risk, Compliance, Privacy, Legal, HR, and Security teams, to implement risk‑based processes and controls.
- Exposure to insider threat, cybersecurity, fraud, employee misconduct, investigations, or enterprise risk management programs is preferred.

Compensation offered for this role is $120,000 – $190,000 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
Remote Work & TechnologyAllstate provides a comprehensive technology setup, including a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse. Employees eligible to work from home also receive a monthly connectivity reimbursement to help offset internet costs. When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating. Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50MB download and 5MB upload.
