Role Summary

The Safety Attendant will provide dedicated field safety coverage during system bring-up, testing, commissioning, and operations. Responsibilities include monitoring guideways and access points, maintaining radio communication with the OCC, performing safety inspections, activating E-Stops when required, managing restricted areas, supporting emergency response, and maintaining accurate incident records.

Required Skills / Certifications

• High School Diploma or higher.
• Experience in transit operations, field safety, industrial operations, testing, emergency response, security, or similar safety-sensitive environments.
• Strong situational awareness and calm judgment under pressure.
• Clear verbal, written, and radio communication skills.
• Ability to identify unsafe conditions, activate emergency stop systems, and escalate concerns.
• Ability to monitor vehicles and operating areas and accurately document incidents.
• Must be available for rotating onsite shifts and physically able to stand/walk for extended periods.

Nice to Have

• Engineering degree.
• Experience with automated transit, autonomous vehicles, rail, test tracks, or proving grounds.
• Emergency response, evacuation, restricted-area access, or test-support experience.
