Position Summary:

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of buildings, grounds, and equipment. This position plays a key role in the upkeep and functionality of facilities, responds to service requests, and acts as a liaison with contracted service providers. The Maintenance Specialist also participates in a rotating on‑call schedule for emergency maintenance services and provides transportation support as needed.

Objectives:
  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all facility systems and equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean, functional, and secure environment for staff and clients.
  • Minimizing downtime through proactive inspections and timely repairs.
  • Supporting compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
  • Contributing to a positive and professional workplace through reliable service and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
  • Assist with facility upgrades, renovations, and special projects.
  • Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
