Maintenance Planner

West Fraser is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support safe, reliable operations at our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will develop, schedule, and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance activities for mill equipment to reduce downtime and improve reliability. Working closely with maintenance, operations, and stores, you will coordinate work orders, outages, and parts availability using a CMMS. You'll analyze maintenance data, support root cause investigations, and help implement reliability improvements in a safety-first, team-oriented environment with strong training and long-term career opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance plans for mill equipment
• Create, prioritize, and schedule work orders to minimize downtime
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and production teams to plan outages and repairs
• Maintain accurate equipment history, parts lists, and maintenance documentation
• Work with stores/inventory to ensure critical spare parts availability
• Use CMMS data to analyze failures and improve maintenance strategies
• Support reliability improvements and root cause analysis on recurring issues
• Ensure all maintenance plans follow West Fraser's safety standards and procedures
• Coordinate vendor and contractor activities for specialized maintenance work
• Report maintenance KPIs and recommend process and equipment improvements
