Responsible for performing a wide variety of routine cleaning duties to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.

• Keeps offices and plant facilities clean and orderly.
• Maintains routine logbooks and work description charts.
• Collects and crushes cardboard and fiberboard drums; operates a baler to contain trash materials.
• Performs all duties in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Understands and follows Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines for chemicals used in cleaning.
• Uses brooms, vacuums, waxers, burnishers, powered equipment, and mops to clean floors.
• Collects and disposes of trash and litter in compactors and other designated receptacles.
• Uses rags, sponges, and brushes to clean furniture and fixtures.
• Washes walls and other surfaces as needed.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
• Three to six months of janitorial experience preferred.
• One or more years of related experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of cleaning activities, power and manual tools, and cleaning chemicals within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to read English sufficiently to understand operating procedures, chemical labels, handling instructions, and Safety Data Sheets.
• Ability to speak English sufficiently to communicate with supervisors and coworkers and to receive and follow verbal instructions.
• Ability to write basic English to maintain cleaning logs and work description charts.

Work is performed in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive movement throughout the shift.

Employees may be required to:

• Operate machinery or powered equipment.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, moving equipment, and manufacturing materials.
• Lift or move materials weighing up to 25–50 pounds.
• Work overtime, weekends, rotating shifts, or extended schedules based on business needs.
