POSITION TITLE:
Safety and Facility Support
- Part-time
REPORTS TO:
Chief Operating Officer
BROAD FUNCTION:
Promotes safety, and provides facility and operations support at agency locations
Safety and Facility Support role focused on promoting safety and providing facility and operations support at agency locations.

- III. Safety And Facility Support
- Respond to emergent or escalating situations, as a part of a team, to promote de-escalation, safety, and indicated follow-up.
- Proactively respond to situations, with a goal of preventing an emergent or escalating situation.
- Promote the safety and well-being of staff and consumers by supporting entry and exit from the building, waiting area space, and outside grounds/parking lot, through following agency procedures.
- Daily review of the building and grounds for any upkeep, repairs or hazards, communication, and support of the resolution of repairs and hazards.
- Submission of work orders for repairs or other appropriate maintenance in response to anything identified from above.
- Support Facilities Support Specialist with facility needs as requested.
- Complete formal quarterly facility safety checklist.
- Assist with quarterly/annual fire and emergency drills for facility.
- Assist with Front Desk coverage as needed.
- Cleaning of the building and grounds as needed to support high client volume or as needed to support other facility support staff being out.
- Receive packages that come into the facility and deliver to staff within building.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance and upkeep, taking vehicles for maintenance, DMV, or to support program needs.
- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent - Experience:
Two or more years working in a safety/security role; experience cleaning in a business environment; valid driver’s license in good standing and experience with local and highway driving. - Skills and Abilities:
Good oral communication skills; ability to create a warm, caring, non-threatening atmosphere; willingness to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds; understanding of professional ethics and issues of confidentiality; ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team; driver’s license and record in good standing. - Professional Characteristics:
Warm, open, empathic, attentive listener, self-aware, ethical, creative, organized, flexible, open to criticism, patient, responsible, able to work independently, mature, self-motivated, dedicated, enthusiastic, willing to take on additional tasks and responsibilities, and interested in seeking additional training and skills.
$20 - $22/hr.
Vacation & Benefits- Vacation:
As a full-time employee generally 35 hours per week, eligible to participate in Family Connections benefit plans (medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability, retirement plans, and additional supplementary benefits). - Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting up to 50 pounds or more.
