Maintenace and PSV Technician

Position Summary

Dow has exciting job opportunities for Maintenance and PSV Technician at the Sabine River Operations (SRO) facility located in Orange, Texas. We’re looking for a top‑caliber Maintenance Technician who embraces change, adapts fast, makes decisions quickly, possesses self‑confidence, and is a lifelong learner. A high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship is required. Candidate will be responsible for the repair, assembly, calibration, and testing of all safety relief and pressure relief valve types and other equipment.

• Diagnoses and corrects equipment problems.
• Calibrates and aligns equipment.
• Completes preventative maintenance activities.
• Checks sizing of components and parts.
• Specifies, requisitions, and installs parts and equipment.
• Coordinates maintenance spare parts.
• Assists in planning, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance.
• Repairs, maintains, and installs equipment and machinery used in the process.
• Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions and documents failure analysis.
• Collects equipment operation and history data to facilitate reliability improvements.
• Works within established Maintenance Work Processes and helps resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling work.
• Disassembles, cleans and repairs pressure relief devices.
• Performs testing on certified testing equipment and completes all documentation under a National Board VR Program.

• Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of industrial experience or 3+ years of Military experience with a technical specialty.
• Ability to work 4 10‑hour shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime and/or holidays as needed.
• Current, valid US driver’s license.
• Proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship or support available.

• Proficient troubleshooting: logical, systematic search for the source of a problem to restore the product or process.
• Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Experience with equipment maintenance, routine upkeep, corrective repair work, and MRO activities.

Willing and able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator that passes a fit test; perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting; climb stairs and work at heights; work in tight spaces; stand or walk for extended periods; work outdoors in all weather; drive a forklift; lift/pull up to 50 lbs.
