Associate Facilities Technician

Maintains, inspects and repairs cold/hot water distribution systems, fixtures, sewer systems, fire extinguishing systems, fire drills, and mechanical equipment. Performs minor remodeling, painting, and minor repairs. Is responsible for floor care, and apartment turnover. In conjunction with the lead maintenance staff person, will ensure building requirements are current according to Administrative Rules for Assisted Living and Residential Care Communities (Brookside specific).

Will be responsible for special projects throughout the facility. Assists in the moving of residents' personal property within the Senior Village complex. Participates in irrigation care. Serves as a member of the Security and Fire Responding Team as well as the Safety Committee.

• Coursework/Training:
  Graduate of trade school, or technical courses in plumbing, air conditioning, heating. May substitute for up to two years experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
